Our histology range covers the temperature-critical stages of tissue sample preparation, from chilling paraffin embedded tissue sections before sectioning to floating delicate ribbons and drying finished slides ready for staining.

Designed and manufactured in Australia, our laboratory cold plates rapidly firm paraffin blocks before microtomy, so sections cut cleanly and hold their shape. A digital PID controller holds the plate between -10°C and -20°C for reliable, repeatable cooling, and stepped platform and compact footprint models let you match the plate to your bench space and block volume.

Once sections are cut, our tissue flotation baths use gently heated water to relax and flatten paraffin ribbons, removing the wrinkles and folds that can compromise a slide while helping the wax adhere to the glass. A lift-out borosilicate glass tray lit by an LED strip makes sections easy to see and position, while a PID controller holds the water to within ±1°C across a 0°C to 70°C temperature range, with 40°C to 50°C suiting most paraffin work.

To complete the workflow, our slide dryers fix mounted sections firmly to the slide and remove excess moisture, preparing them for staining without the nuclear bubbling that inconsistent heat can cause. Each unit holds up to 56 microscope slides at once and features a high-definition touchscreen for precise control in 1°C increments up to 99°C, held to a temperature accuracy within ±1°C, with timers, alarms and automatic on and off for a consistent daily routine.
